"Our 70th year of service to this area."
MEMBERSHIP IN
THE LIONS
Membership is open to men and women of
18 years of age or older and good reputation in the community, and is by sponsorship.
Lions are a diverse group of people who are active in the community, bonded together in the belief that they can make a
difference in helping their neighbors see and hear clearly and support community activities.
Through membership in a Lions club, people not only help those in need, but have opportunities to develop personal friendships
and gain valuable leadership skills.
The Lions are looking for like minded people who want to make a difference in the community. Who can overcome barriers of race,
gender, and creed to work together for the betterment of all.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service organization with over 1.3 million members and we are looking for
service minded people to help with our causes.
If you are interested in joining a Lions Club -ask. Chances are some of your friends at church or
synagogue or work may be Lions. Just let them know about your interest, they will be glad to invite you to a meeting.
For more local information you can call the office at GA Mountain Fair Grounds.
The Towns County Lions Club meets most every 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Music Hall in the Ga
Mountain Fair Grounds, Hiawassee.
We are always happy to receive visitors.
President Ken Fuller Notes:
Searching out individuals willing to continue the Lions tradition of service and sponsoring them as club members is an
important responsibility all Lions share. Do you know someone who would have these interests? Have you invited them to attend
a meeting? If we are to continue the many programs that benefit our community we will need to continue increasing our
membership. Thanks.

Ralph Grady - President
Towns County Lions Club
